How can you help?

VOLUNTEER

SOS is a volunteer-based organization that has been snippin’ & tippin’ since 2003. Be a "purrfect" match for community cats & volunteer your skills to help us nip problems in the bud. We depend on your involvement for the following various tasks:

  • Trapping community cats (we’ll train you!)

  • Recovering cats overnight after surgery

  • Transporting cats to & from clinic

  • Fostering injured cats or young kittens

  • Educating the public by hanging flyers, sharing on social media, and tabling at events

  • Fundraising

Trap - Neuter - Return

This proven method is both humane and effective, offering numerous benefits:

  • Population Control: By stopping cat reproduction, TNR prevents unwanted litters and stabilizes cat populations over time.

  • Community Harmony: Cats freed from breeding stress are happier and less likely to engage in behaviors like yowling, fighting, or spraying.

  • Reduced Cost and Burden: Shelters overflow with surrendered and abandoned cats, leading to euthanasia and high costs. TNR helps keep shelters manageable and saves taxpayer dollars.

  • Healthier Cats: Preventing reproduction also reduces cats' risk of diseases like certain cancers, leading to healthier lives for feline residents.

In short, TNR is a win-win for cats, the community, and taxpayers. Join the movement and make a difference! Learn more
